Mobilink has provided support for development of infrastructure and facilities in press clubs of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. The upgrade is part of Mobilink’s drive to improve working conditions for the media fraternity and the press clubs’ patrons.
Omar Manzur, Head of Corporate Communications Mobilink, emphasized on the importance of the initiative saying, “Development of press clubs and provision of facilities is a means of honoring our sustained relationship with the media. This initiative compliments Mobilink’s ideology of going beyond routine business interactions to support the press clubs and the journalists’ community of Pakistan and provide opportunity for learning and recreational activities for a better professional and personal life. We hope that these facilities will continue to add value in the way journalists benefit from the press clubs to perform their jobs for many years to come.’’
Mobilink has supported the press clubs in three major cities of Pakistan by adding a number of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, improving infrastructure and providing access to the latest IT equipment. The areas of improvements were highlighted in collaboration with the press club administrative bodies in the respective cities.
Mobilink extends special thanks to President National Press Club, Islamabad Farooq Faisal, President Lahore Press Club, Arshad Ansari and President Karachi Press Club, Imtiaz Faran who supported this initiative. Mobilink stands committed towards providing institutionalized learning opportunities and extending support for capacity building to its media partners and the press clubs of Pakistan.
